Mobile browsing with Mippin’s new CEO
Mippin, a London-based start-up that redesigns online content for mobile consumption, has welcomed female internet hero Judy Gibbons as their new CEO.
Judy has an impressive and long resume. She joined Microsoft in 1994 to launch MSN in the UK and went on to manage MSN Europe. She worked at HP and Apple and is a venture partner at the technology investment firm Accel Partners.
Mippin is a mobile portal which counts half a million users already. These users browse through news sites and blogs from their mobile. But for those users that don’t like suprises, Mippin also offers the possibility to obtain a personalized news selection.
Recently, an iPhone version was launched that allows users to browse through web content superfast. It was promoted through a viral-sensitive Pepsi Challenge. Two Mippin employees show how much faster Mippin loads their favorite blog, Engagdet, and how eassily its users will be able to browse posts.

My IPhone loads SO slowly, the thought of there being a quicker way is very exciting!
