Deals: Glam media in UK and Germany

The nextweb reported two major steps of women focused Glam media in its expansion into Europe.

Glam Media is a distributed media network in the US mainly aimed at women. It comprises of both Glam-owned-and-operated properties, such as its flagship website glam.com and a publisher network of 450+ lifestyle websites and blogs, such as shefinds.com. Co-founder is Dianna Mullins.

With its large network, Glam is able to attract mayor advertisers who can target millions of women reading the blogs and magazines.

Glam Media obtained funding in February 2008 of $85 million (54 million euro). It used the funds in the UK to recently acquire London based Monetise, now called GlamMedia UK. In Germany it announced last week that it works strategically together with Hubert Burda Media and acquired Codex Media .

Now Glam has called upon German and UK women sites to become part of its distribution network.
