September will be a busy month for all those interested in women and internet technology related events. In order to keep track of what is going on in September, here’s a selection of upcoming events:
2-5 September, ITU TELECOM ASIA 2008, IMPACT Challenger Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand.
ITU TELECOM ASIA 2008 is a key networking platform for Asia’s top ICT names to come together and focus on core issues relating to ICT expansion across the region.
So what happens there?
The event encompasses an Exhibition featuring the latest technologies and innovations, and an extensive Forum that explores key technologies, policies and applications driving Asia’s ICT sector. Participants can take part in a variety of ways; from a booth on the showfloor to sponsorship of a networking function or high profile item.

San Diego, CA, USA
With more than 20,000 technologies reviewed and 1,500 companies selected to launch on the DEMO stage over the past 18 years, DEMO has continually searched the globe to find innovation where it lives.
What happens there?
During 70 six-minute presentations in two days, start-ups will unveil the latest, most innovative and market-defining products to investors and journalists.

With 215 Million women in Europe managing their lives via the Internet, it’s reasonable to say that women’s media consumption has changed forever.
the ‘Future Women’ conference will explore how brands are adapting their strategies to tackle these changes.
So what happens there?
Both events will see keynote speaker Rebecca Jennings of Forrester Research, an independent research company, speak about how women’s engagement with social media is changing and Marcel Baron of IBM, who will give his company’s perspective on the future of media, content and messaging.
Speakers at the German event include Alison Fennah, of the European Interactive Advertising Association, the pan- European trade organisation for sellers of interactive media, and Angela Pritzkow, of the marketing agency F3 Marketingagentur.
Kieron Matthews and Sorcha Proctor of the Internet Advertising Bureau, the trade association for online advertising, Claire Higgins, of Hearst Digital , the digital division of the National Magazine Company and Amanda Wigginton, and Lynne Springett, of the consumer magazine publisher IPC Media, will speak at the London event.

So what happens there?
In the course of three days of the conference technological, production, consumer, infrastructural, organizational, normative and legal, educational, research and other trends in the development of IP-communications and IP-services will be scrutinized.

24-26 September, Picnic, Amsterdam, the Netherlands
