The ‘winning companies’ are 5 from a list of 100 US companies that are ‘mom-friendly’. All companies are strong believers in paid sick leave for all employees, full-time and part-time work, as well as phase-back programs for new moms and paid time off to volunteer. 54 of the winning companies tie managers’ pay to women’s advancement rates—and five even penalize managers whose staffers don’t take their vacations.

I was surprised to see Intel wasn’t in the top five, although happy the company made the list. I work for Intel and I have to say that in my opinion it is a really supportive company for women. The company allows me a very flexible schedule which helps me work around my son’s schedule. They also offer other benefits like scholarships for children of employees.
