The site started at the beginning of 2008 in New York City, but who the team behind it is unclear. The site describes itself as “a social news site for young women” and the stories on it focus on fashion, beauty, health and relationships. And sex. It is, in short, a lifestyle women’s magazine 2.0.

A customized edition of the Flock social web browser, Gloss has launched, report thenextweb and Center Networks.
Gloss targets women interested in fashion, celebrities and gossip. It is not suprising therefore that the customized edition comes in pink, decorated by a lipsticked mouth and filled with custom news on these topics.

There’s a strict no-VIP online booking policy: the 12 seats at this counter restaurant can be booked only through an online reservation system for that same week. And thus it is almost impossible, even worse than getting a place at your favorite school or your waiting list tennis club.
