Marina Tognetti
This week MYNGLE won the Accenture Media & Innovation Award. Marina Tognetti, founder of this online market place in language teaching, spotted the business opportunity a couple of years ago. With her mission to create an impact in the world, she realised a website with technology that enables anyone to be taught by anyone, anywhere in the world. Her presentation at the conference in Pakhuis De Zwijger was impressive. A worthy Female Internet Hero.
She has 18 years of professional experience in marketing, business development, e-commerce / technology and strategy consulting in Italy, France and The Netherlands; eBay, Procter & Gamble, Philips, Sara Lee and the Boston Consulting Group. Marina has an MBA from INSEAD.
Myngle has currently 700 teachers scheduling lessons in 49 languages. There are 12 employees, 10.000 members, and the company thinks to be profitable in 2009. Partners of Tognetti are Egbert van Keulen and Danilo da Silva. In its first round of financing 800.000 euro was invested. It is currently seeking a second round financing.
